In addition to that writing and editing stuff, I also like to lead generative writing workshops based on the Amherst Writers and Artists method. Basically it’s all about celebrating new words and the words of those around you. It’s lifting each other up and enjoying the process of creating, with or without an end goal or agenda. It’s about trusting your own, unique voice and view of the world.
You can see more about that over on my Writing Workshop page.
Other than that, I am living with a handful of different chronic illnesses, some undiagnosed, but others the doctors have found labels for: Fibromyalgia, Cervical Disc Degeneration, Hashimotos, & Macular Degeneration, with multiple eye surgeries. Most of my writing deals with grief and mental health issues surrounding the unpredictable nature of the beauty and chaos that is life.
